An introduction + quick look at how GIMP/Photoshop works, and what it is capable of doing. I will update this page with more details soon.
Doodle for scheduling: GIMP/Photoshop Workshop
Goal
- Get everyone up and running with GIMP or Photoshop
- Explain and do a basic demonstration of all the core features
- Go all together through a couple of basic operations one may want to do
- Q&A session in the end
Obstacle
A list of potential obstacles:
- People at the HS have a Apple-fanboy level of BS defending GIMP when Photoshop is an order of magnitude better, despite not being open source
- Both softwares require a reasonably beefy computer. Netbooks won't cut it. SSD + <4GB RAM + Dual Core recommended.
Components
- VM with Photoshop/GIMP provided with all needed files on USB Keys/DVDs/FTP
Schedule
Whenever people decide on the date thanks to the Doodle
