Orange Pi Zero

Orange Pi Zero is a $7 (with shipping) ARM microcomputer from China. Key features are quad core Cortex-A7, Ethernet & WiFi, RPi 1 pins, additional microphone, IR and TV out pins.

Setup

  1. Download firmware from a sketchy chinese site. Armbian is an alternative.
  2. Flash it with your favorite flashing tool for SD cards (dd, etcher)
  3. Boot up Orange Pi Zero, do a nmap on your subnet for a device with this MAC prefix: 8A:C0:F9
  4. SSH into it with user root and password orangepi
  5. Resize partition with sudo fs_resize
