The concept is that you add items you feel are needed at fixme, with information such as price and the source (link). Throughout the month, fixme members add/comment extra items, and at the end of the month the list is first proposed on the mailing list for comments, and then proposed again in its final form for complete approval. The items will be bought if there are no objections for 3 days.
Such a system will be implemented to facilitate the purchase of small items that are not necessarily worth to be posted individually on the mailing list for. Feel free to link from stores on eBay, Taobao, Distrilec, etc.

We usually order from [http://digikey.com DigiKey] (free shipping, fairly cheap) or [http://www.futureelectronics.com Future Electronics] ($50 shipping, very cheap). [http://mouser.com Mouser] also ships free above 80 CHF.

Because DigiKey and Future carry different parts, it is not easy to do a cheap order with exactly one part, because sometimes alternative parts exist in the other store that are cheaper.
