Description
- 3D printer to print with liquid chocolate on food support.
- It's not to print 3D things in chocolate, it's to draw 2D texts (or images) on flat support.
Goal
- Design the hardware
- Code the text to gcode processing
Obstacles
A list of potential obstacles
- High torque for syringe extruder
- Power management
- Hardware design
Components
- Arduino
- Arduino CNC Shield
- Shafts, Couplers
- Bolts and nuts
- Seringue
- Stepper motors
- Linear bearings
- Belts
Pending:
- Transparent plexiglass for hardware parts
- ATX Power supply
Progress
To do:
- Power management
- Syringe extruder (possible solution: http://www.instructables.com/id/3D-Printed-Syringe-Pump-Rack/)
- Text to gcode (or stl) processing
Ongoing:
- Hardware design (60%)
Done:
- Order hardware parts
Schedule
- Deadline:
27.06.2015TBD... - First release to be done in MDF
- Prototype validation
- Final release in Plexiglass
